Tucked Into Salt Spring Island

The cabin sits on Cranberry Road, a quiet forested pocket a few minutes' drive from Ganges village — Salt Spring's hub for coffee, groceries, galleries, and the famous Saturday Market.

Getting here

Three BC Ferries routes serve the island: Fulford Harbour (from Victoria/Swartz Bay), Long Harbour (from Vancouver/Tsawwassen), and Vesuvius (from Crofton). Floatplanes land in Ganges Harbour.

While you're here

Mount Maxwell lookouts, cider tastings, ocean swims at Vesuvius Bay, studio tours, and very good bakeries. The Salt Spring Centre of Yoga is an easy walk from the cabin — no car needed.

Good to know before you book

The cabin is rustic and it sits up a hillside. Two things are worth knowing in advance — guests tell us they'd rather hear them from us than discover them on arrival.

The driveway

The cabin is at the top of a steep gravel driveway with a switchback and a tight turn at the top. Most cars manage it fine and it's straightforward once you've done it once, but take it slowly in a low-clearance vehicle or in heavy rain. There's room for one car on the flat spot beside the cabin — and you're welcome to leave your car at the bottom and walk up instead.

Steps and mobility

There are five steps up to the cabin door, and the approach is on uneven ground. The cabin is not wheelchair accessible and is not a good fit for guests who find stairs or uneven footing difficult. If you're unsure whether it will work for you, ask us before you book and we'll tell you honestly.

Exact directions, gate code and arrival details are emailed a week before check-in. Address: 380 Cranberry Rd, Salt Spring Island, BC.
